What Projects did we do in 2018?
Strive For Design took on a variety of interior home and design projects for clients. We worked with Dr. Alex George from Love Island 2018 to transform a one bedroom flat in London into a three bedroom high end flat with two bathrooms. A stunning 1909 kitchen with charcoal grey doors, white Staturio Maximus Caesarstone worktops and a kitchen island with a bar and wine cooler were implemented in the design. Another client of ours needed a full living room renovation where we made a bespoke TV unit with shelving as well as installing an electric real life looking slim line fire place. Bespoke furniture such as sofas, cushions, carpet, dining table and blinds were put in to match the neutral beige and cream theme, making it modern and chic from an old shabby dark room to a sophisticated wow factor room. Bespoke lighting was placed making the pendants very unique and eye catching, finished off with Brian Yates wallpaper. A really fun project was placing rose gold ball pendants from Tom Dixon lighting into a new build where they hung in between a spiral staircase in front of a large glass window! They looked beautiful and we topped It off with our bespoke plantation shutters to match the modern acquired taste.

2019 Reviews on décor in Newmarket
In our surrounding areas we always take into account interior design in hotels, restaurants and places that we visit. A must see in Barrow just 15 minutes from Newmarket (Bury St Edmunds) is the Weeping Willow Pub. The décor is fantastic, the upholstered chairs are lush and the colour scheme is vibrant and trending. Something completely different to anything in the area and we would highly recommend not only the setting which is perfect in the winters with two log fires burning, but it’s the most beautiful spot in the summer with a Gin & Tonic under the willow tree outside. Being in Newmarket, it is only essential that we give our take on the racecourses. The Rowley mile withholds a beautiful grandstand with fantastic hospitality and décor. The owners and trainers lounge/bar is modern, great colour schemes, and the view is impeccable. Going up to private boxes where the view becomes breath taking, each box is unique. Very much like Royal Ascot. Each sponsored box has a real feel for authenticity through the usage of photos of fantastic racehorses to do with each firm, to little flowers marking the colours of the sponsor. The Frankel Bar is a great spot for spectators right in front of the paddock being able to access great seafood and champagne as well as watch the horses go round the paddock. The décor outside is very relaxing with great garden furniture, perfect in the sunshine and very relaxing. However inside, the tables and chairs are slightly dated and could be more vibrant for such a buzzy bar.
When it comes to the July course you can feel real tradition. Perfect on Friday nights with endless acts playing. There are fabulous member enclosures with great viewing and hospitality, however these are in temporary marquee tents so don’t expect the same feel as the Rowley Mile. The owners and trainers has a beautiful setting in front of the pre parade ring however, the furniture offered is limited and on metal stools so don’t be looking for comfort if you’re an owner! For such a fantastic setting we feel the owners and trainers could have more of a lounge style with sofa style seating inside and better garden furniture for outside!
