It's been a busy May!
As we head into summer, we're reflecting on a busy May for the Strive for Design team:
- We finished a whole house renovation in Cambridge and our photographs show the day room, which has a more contemporary country feel, filled with a bespoke cabinet and all soft furnishings and accessories supplied by us! The hallway finally had its stunning stairwell light fitted following the installation of bespoke headboards, fitted furniture and a bespoke mirror for the staircase
- We enjoyed a trip to Salone de Mobile where the team visited Milan to seek new suppliers and see the current ranges and trends for this Spring/Summer going into Autumn/Winter. Not only did we visit this vast exhibition pacing over 20,000 steps each but we also acquired some stunning new contacts!
- During the trip we headed to Duomi Square in the centre of Milan visiting the cathedral to study its architectural design before we frequented Duomi 21, a cocktail bar on the Square, for nibbles and drinks, followed by some retail therapy!
- The following day we took ourselves off to Lake Como where we walked a further 15,000 steps looking at the local shops, buying local produce to take home and then enjoying a boat trip past the Bellagio Hotel
- Back in the UK and ready for the imminent summer months we provided some outdoor furniture ranges which have robust outdoor fabrics that are stain repellent, wipe clean and water resistant, ensuring a stylish and clean-cut look for your garden
- We also provided some unique shelving systems which offer innovative design storage solutions along with some interesting smelling diffusers which have an impact on our mood and how they make us feel, especially in a sleeping environment. This setup can also include fresh cut flowers and plants to help keep the room clean and purify the air within your home too!
- Looking at furniture, we love nest tables which can be versatile, creating different levels of height, with extra seating options such as an ottoman, and they can also be compact as they sit within one another. Nowadays there's a choice of materials for these products, including glass, fabric, wood, stone and ceramic, which will fit any design.
- Finally, landscape designs can really elevate your garden and can transport you to a place of calm and relaxation. Zoning different areas in your garden can give you function and purpose and a clear separation for play and for seating
